"Hey, let's go play some pinball!"

Personality

Zap is a laid back hyena who loves a good laugh! He loves bright colors, loud music, and thrives when he's hanging out in a large group. It's easy for him to go up to someone new and chat. He's focused on the here and now, and doesn't look back. Zap is a risk taker and will chase his goals with everything he's got! Unfortunately for him, this lands him in trouble from time to time due to how reckless he is. Especially when he's gambling in Casino Night.

When Zap does want to be alone, he can normally be found relaxing in the grassy areas of West Side Island, or at a nearby chao garden where he likes to take his chao Quincy. Like his name implies, Zap has electricity powers. He loves to give someone new a little shock when shaking hands.

Backstory

Zap was born and raised on West Side Island. He grew up in the city of Casino Night, and always adored those neon signs and bright lights. He loved laughing and playing pinball with the other kids his age. He often would introduce himself first, and zap other people's hands when he gave them a handshake. Even as a little cub, Zap loved to get into all kinds of mischief with his friends.

As a young teen, Zap kept exploring the island and going farther and farther from his home in Casino Night. During a day of exploration, Zap ran into a bat around his age named Vivie. He noticed the chao she had with her and asked questions. Vee was happy to tell him about Sapphire, and in return he showed her around Casino Night. The two of them soon became close friends.

As an adult, Zap started to set off on his own and see more of the world. He visited Vivie at Seaside Hill first, and thought it'd be fun to see the chao garden she helps keep clean and tidy. While he was there, he noticed a chao who kept wandering over to him. After befriending the chao, Zap decided to keep the little guy. He got some advice and some fruit to go before saying goodbye to Vivie and going back to his own little adventure.

Zap and Quincy were inseparable! He took his little chao everywhere he went. Every once in awhile, Zap returns home to relax before going back out again.
