Personality

Zap is a laid back hyena who prefers to do things alone his own way. He's always liked the peace and quiet when he's alone, and enjoys that more than being around a group of strangers. When he is with someone, it's normally either his friends or the chao he takes care of. He loves to roughouse with his friends and spend time with them, but he'll normally need to recharge after a big outing. Zap finds hanging out and caring for the chao relaxing, and can often be found in the garden that he cares for.

Like his name implies, Zap has electricity powers. He loves to give someone new a little shock when shaking hands.

Zap is 3'5ft and often likes wearing jewelry. Normally has some kind of gold accent. Likes wearing an earring and/or necklace

Backstory

Zap has always been a little rebel even when he was young. He'd find all kinds of ways to get into trouble. He didn't really have a lot growing up, but that was fine with him since he had his friends and family. It didn't take a lot to keep himself happy. Especially when he grew older, hearing tales of the world being saved kept his interest. He may not be able to save the world, but he did keep a vow to himself to keep his friends and family safe.

He made some amazing friends during his teen years. He had fun messing with others, zapping them with a handshake, and causing some harmless, mischievous fun. It was during this time that he met Vee, and he learned about chao from her. He liked hanging out with her and her chao Sapphire.

His whole world changed when Infinite attacked. He considered himself lucky that he and his family survived. He didn't know where Vivie went. He remembered his own self vow he made years before, and joined the resistance. While he was absolutely terrified of what was going to happen, he didn't give up in hopes that he could keep those he loved safe.

Once the battle was over, Zap was relieved, and while he loved getting to know his new friends, he had a new goal in mind and decided to part ways with promises to keep in touch. He'd managed to find Vivie in a garden that she took care of, and helped her rebuilded after the damages that had happened. He saw her passion for taking care of the garden, and it inspired him to do the same.

Over the next few months, Zap learned all he could about chao from studying them and asking Vivie questions. With Vivie's help, he found out about more gardens that needed to be cleaned up after that long fight. He eventually found one close to home, and decided he'd tend to it. One of the chao there bonded with him, and Zap named the little guy Quincy.

Today, Zap has found a home to call his own. He protects the city he lives in, and the chao garden nearby.
